Right now just bunkered down in the kitchen as the rain pours with all the force it's made of on the ground outside. It's awesome since we haven't had much rain in the past weeks and the ground, gardens, land is left crispy dry. But the force of this rain always takes me by surprise (this coming from a girl from Seattle) especially the noise it makes as it pelts down on our tin roof. It's a perfect day to just lay in bed all day, which is actually what I had ended up doing. I've been sick for the past four days and finally this morning I caved and went back to bed around 9:30am after a few nights that involved raging headaches, coughing, fevers, etc. Next thing I knew I woke up to torrential downpour at 2pm, so I'm guessing the nap was a good idea. So rain... maybe we'll wake up tomorrow and the whole country will be green, gardens growing, enough food for all, and Ryna will be feeling better.
