Rob has been madly cleaning and moving things around the hospital in order to get things ready for the team of dentists and doctors coming this week. They came last year too and from what I heard, it was crazy. They saw over 1000 patients in three days! The team of doctors and medical personnel was numbered at 40 (who all stayed at and around (tents) the guest house). Luckily (for me) only the team of dentist are staying here and the others will commute from Beauchamp every morning. Commute! Ha! That is passing all the donkeys on the road. So long story short, pray for this week. That the teams would be effective here, that they would help people who really need help, that we would all be patient with the chaos going on and keep our heads on straight!
It seems like we will be cleared out in the next couple weeks. We have quite a few patients who are waiting to see the team of doctors this week and after that will go home. And the mass of TB patients we admitted in January have almost reached their 2 month point. And I think it’s time they go. They are all too well and causing all kind of desort (trouble) in the hospital now. You know when you come in the morning and see them dancing to the music coming from the tap tap beyond, they need to go home!
Dustin arrived here in PC on Thursday! I was excited to see my friend again, but couldn’t help but feel something was missing: Annelies. We are all missing her as she is back in the Netherlands working and getting ready for their wedding in June. Dustin will stay for a few weeks helping one of the pastors in Foison (a nearby village in the mountains) install internet.
I don’t know what’s happened to my patience and compassion, but lately I’ve been wanting to strangle all the chickens and sheep around the guesthouse. In my opinion when you hear bhaaaing and crowing right outside your window at 6 am, that is the natural response.

You've been on my mind this past weekend Ryna. I'm praying for God's grace on you exactly how and when you need it!
I didn't have the opportunity to meet you this past week when we were in town working with Pastor Chrisbon in Poste Metier. I am excited about the owrk you are doing and enjoy you blog. I hope you have a great week with teh dental team- the students should be a lot of fun. In light of teh roosters crowing and donkeys talking, where are your earplugs!!!! Have a great day and may God continue to bless your ministry.
